Anyone think that Maisie was Lex's daughter?

Once old man Lockwood said she visited Jurassic Park many years ago?

I have to wonder if what he claims is true though. I assume when Alan Grant, Malcolm, Lex and Tim were the first visitors to the park (outside of the operating staff). And on that first visit, the park turned into a catastrophe... So when would Lockwood's daughter have visited the park?

Near the end, bad guy said right out what Maisie is and why she looks exactly like her mother (who Maisie had discovered was Iris the nanny).

reply

Lockwood's comment came before we discovered she was a clone.

reply

I’m saying that’s HOW we discovered she’s a clone.

reply

And why exactly are you saying that? It has nothing to do with my question. My question is, BEFORE this revelation, did anyone think she might be Lex's daughter. Because the scene with Old Man Lockwood came way before the clone revelation.

reply

Lex was Hammond's granddaughter. No relation to Lockwood other than the partnership.

reply

Sorry, misunderstood your question.

reply

It passed my mind, but no, not since she's a clone. Might've been around the right age. But likelier the original Maisie got a private tour that was much earlier and less comprehensive.

I agree. I feel like they wanted the viewer to think it was Lex. First the significant mention of her being in Jurassic Park ‘once before’ and then the very obvious nod to Lex with Maisie recreating the struggle to pull down the cover of the dumb waiter. I know they made it clear that Lockwood and Hammond weren’t related, but I do agree with you that they definitely planted a Lex theme there.
