According to this article, Zia, the badass hot doctor chick, was a lesbian in the film, but the scene revealing that she was a lesbian got cut. There was supposed to be a scene where she says to Chris Pratt

“It's me and Chris Pratt, and we are in a military vehicle with all of these mercenaries," Pineda said. "I look at Chris and am like, 'Yeah. Square jaw. Good bone structure. Tall. Muscles. I don't date men, but if I did, it would be you. It would gross me out, but I would do it.'”

The sexual orientation and dating habits of a supporting character in an adventure film about cloned dinosaurs seem like very important, material and relevant pieces of information to convey to the viewer.

The also cut out precious scenes in which the tech nerd describes his tin soldier collection and his pet ferret.
Also a gem of a scene in which the caretaker at the mansion shops for fresh non-GMO blueberries at the local farmers market.

Have these people no sense of narrative? Sigh.

I forget the line now because it was really quick, but in the first scene with them at the call center she said something to Bryce Dallas Howard, which she ignored because she was on the phone, and the guy made some comment too the effect of "you've been trying that for......" however long, and then the scene moved on to something else. Wondered at the time if there were supposed to be "vibes".

I had the feeling she was just in the movie out of political corectness
Female, strong, fearless and of course lesbian .. felt totally out of place

I dont really see why that matters, given that sexuality never came up for the character. Unless you mean the actress was a lesbian, in which case WHO GIVES A FUCK.

Also calling her a badass is generous. All she did was run her mouth the entire movie. She couldnt even press a few buttons on a screen apparently and needed the other characters to do that.
