why no freedom, imdb/amazon?

i've learned ten-thousand times more from these boards than any "trivia" or "goofs" section of a film or television show could ever list.

and regardless of trolls, even the *high-spirited* conversations are informative if not entertaining... always educational.

surely imdb's "tech wizards" can port this entire database into a new format without simply pulling the plug -- on a treasure-trove of valuable information, irrespective of tone or attitude?
