I understand she had to "get well", but why did she wait until she was well and in a new relationship engaged to be married to think "oh, now I can go get my daughter back". It seems like if she was well enough to start dating and playing house with a new family she would've gotten her daughter much sooner
shareI wondered that too. Maybe she just wanted to fully work on herself before getting Sadie back. That way she can do all the dating, courting, sleeping together (in sin as her mother would say)
Even tho it would have been nice for them to get to know each other more one on one before having sharing each other.
the grandmother was very bizarre. probably the reason why she waited so long. to be good and sure and well.
and even when she was able to get Sadie, she was dead against her and taking Sadie back.
who wants to deal with that?

Right. Meanwhile Sadie was being locked in her Grandma's basement every time she broke a rule. So sad.
