They seem to make odd connections from nowhere, this item is inca so that obviously means the treasure is here.... erm nope it means the inca's were there at some point.

the so called expert is called upon when they run out of idea's / proof and he just so happens to know something, well if he was an expert why not ask him the first time for info ?

The drama in ep2 of being spied on / followed.. paranoia is their worst enemy, and if people see a camera crew they going to wonder whats being filmed...
