jeffrey lau has officially stopped giving a sht

i can't even believe the guy that wrote and directed the original chinese odysseys with all their somber scenes end up making this movie. the acting is absolutely horrendous. the jokes are ultra goofy in a bad way. in the originals, even if you removed stephen chow, everyone was doing a great job. why the hell did they cast karen mok again? it's like 20 years later. at first i thought she only had a cameo. why did joker not know who jing jing was if they wanted to continue the same story? he traveled back in time to meet zixia in this right? it picks up where they were standing in front of the masks.

literally every single thing sucked in this movie. even the costumes were terrible. for some reason, 2 decades ago they managed to find beautiful actresses on a tiny island. now they got all of china and they cast a girl that looks like she was malnourished growing up then had tons of bad plastic surgery later for zixia.
