Netflix is interested in appealing to specific niche audiences. Yes they have their "blockbusters" like Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, etc. that have widespread appeal, but they're also investing in shows and movies for very targeted audiences. This is a good thing! Odds are, they'll hit on something that you-- and few others-- do love.
