BIack people at raves?

I've never actually been to a rave but I know I never seen any bIack people listening to rave music so not sure how they would become management of a big name DJ and managing a rave event. Was it that they wanted "ethnic diversity" in the cast and those roles were the most opportune?

I'm a 17 year old African American and 98% of what I listen to is EDM . I'm the one kid out of probably my whole high school of 3200 kids who openly listens to it . Shockerrrrr ???

No, not a shocker. Pretty much validates my observations.

Have you observed any mongoloids in raves?

It's true, you don't see a lot of black people at raves- mostly white, with a lot of Asians (I'm talking about the NY and L.A./Vegas areas, since I've only been to events there). But there are usually some.

I've been to four festivals and there are plenty

This is not a Rave it is EDM festival and yes Blacks go now also I guess you forgot EDM sub-genre Dubstep/TRAP pretty much fits with the the current Hip Hop culture.

Do you realise that a huge chunk of rave music's pioneers were black? House and techno music both originated with black DJs in Chicago and Detroit respectively. Many of the biggest DJs and producers in rave music are black. Carl Cox ain't exactly white and he's about as legendary as anyone in the rave scene possibly could be.

I don't know where you get the idea that black people don't go to raves. I guess that maybe comes from people comfusing EDM festivals like what's portrayed in this film with actual raves. The commercial EDM festivals with their fake DJs and formulaic top 40 dance music are perhaps mostly full of white people but I wouldn't call them raves. 😝 That would be a little like going to a Justin Bieber concert and calling it heavy metal.
