I will never see this Batman movie again

I like Batman, but I saw this as part of the Fathom events thing, and I swear that I will never see it again for several reasons, one including Barbara getting shot. So if somebody slips in a copy on my tv or sends its, I will force them to stop. If somebody sends me a copy via mail, I will destroy it.

That seems like a strange reason since you almost had to know it was coming. The original story is almost 30 years old and the Joker crippling Barbara was a key element of her taking on the identity of Oracle in the comics (and some adaptations such as the Birds of Prey television series).

Do people often just randomly send you movies? 

Yeah, I get people being annoyed with Batman/Batgirl screwing, but this is a weird complaint. Guess you must be new to Batman. Welcome. This movie was based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore, which was so influential that it's been canonized into the official Batman mythology. Joker cripples Batgirl, which is what makes her become Oracle.

In Beware of the Batman she didn't need to get crippled to become Oracle. If someone doesn't read comics and only watched the video stuff then I think this Joker story is the first encounter with that topic (Barbara getting crippled by the Joker). You don't need to be new to Batman. While the Bruce Babs relationship was already a hinted topic in Batman Beyond... over 10 years ago. No breaking news in that department for the video watcher.I myself prefer video over comics too. Although I do read some every now and then. But didn't read one yet that I would recommend. Maybe the The Three Ghosts of Batman one and the first half of Hush I liked. ---Lincoln Lee: I lost a partner.Peter Bishop: I lost a universe!

I first read the graphic novel in 2008 so I knew what was going to happen to her. Though Batgirl hooking up with Batman was a little unsettling. I mean sure Batman has been with other women like Catwoman and Talia, but Batgirl seemed like she would be too young for him. Though, who am I to judge?

reply

The age is not the matter. She wanted it, he didn't object. The unsettling thing is that he is the mentor and she the student and that couldn't end well. At least it couldn't continue. As she said, it was too early. ---Lincoln Lee: I lost a partner.Peter Bishop: I lost a universe!

I'm sorry that you're so fragile and easily offended. Why would you watch this in the first place? I'm sure there are some reruns of Teen Titans Go or Power Puff girls to entertain you.
