I like Batman, but I saw this as part of the Fathom events thing, and I swear that I will never see it again for several reasons, one including Barbara getting shot. So if somebody slips in a copy on my tv or sends its, I will force them to stop. If somebody sends me a copy via mail, I will destroy it.

The original story is almost 30 years old and the Joker crippling Barbara was a key element of her taking on the identity of Oracle in the comics (and some adaptations such as the Birds of Prey television series).
Yeah, I get people being annoyed with Batman/Batgirl screwing, but this is a weird complaint. Guess you must be new to Batman. Welcome. This movie was based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore, which was so influential that it's been canonized into the official Batman mythology. Joker cripples Batgirl, which is what makes her become Oracle.

shareI first read the graphic novel in 2008 so I knew what was going to happen to her. Though Batgirl hooking up with Batman was a little unsettling. I mean sure Batman has been with other women like Catwoman and Talia, but Batgirl seemed like she would be too young for him. Though, who am I to judge?
