This is IMDb, so most of the raters are pretty hard on TV shows. I guess there's more of a film fan base, ya know? I find that there's a disparate rating for TV shows, even brilliant ones sometimes get pretty low averages. But some do well. So maybe given time it's average will increase, who knows?
