I think it was in some ways tastefully shot. That's not saying that the stuff that was happening was tasteful, but the premise was the king needed a consort and the women were put through a regiment to weed out the bad ho from the most worthy of the royal Johnson. It was very clinical in nature as opposed to just a giant orgy, which would have been more fun to watch, but less artsy/historical
