Didnt like it much BUT gave me nightmares...

I binge-watched it late last night alone in the dark because I had nothing to do. Didn't do much for me (I am a jaded horror fan), and I had to resort to 1.5X - 3.0X playback speed to make it through. But this clicked something subconsciously inside me and I had terrible & disturbing nightmares the whole night. This never happened to me before.

That idea alone gives me nightmares.

But yes, this got under the skin. Into the subconscious.

Here is a thought. A lot of us grew up watching shows like sesame street. And some of you grew up watching Mr.Rogers too and there were scenes that showed cheap puppets there. I went on to youtube and even looked up very old shows like captain kangaroo and that featured hand puppets as well. My point is did this show trigger memories from childhood that together with this show gave nightmares? Also do others agree that some of the weirdest things in horror(this show for example)are when they use child like things and ideas and make them terrifying. If you look at candle cove there is nothing outright terrifying about it but it's the subtle weirdness about it. Something is off and you know the vintage old fashioned look is one thing that makes it creepy. If Candle cove happened today instead of the 80's them Eddie might have imagined something modern that was not creepy.
