It was good except....

Touches here and there to show you it was a SyFy production.

Some of the scripting was terrible.
Paul Schneider was really unappealing - he seemed sleepy, creepy and drugged for the entire series.
Gary's reaction to his wife's slaughter was off camera and extremely brief. When we next see him he is sort of "oh well, next..."
Those sloooooow pans to reveal something made me wanna throw the tv out the window esp at the end with the daughter at the tv.
Loose ends galore.
Why was the father so creepy in the one flashback scene we see him in?

It could have been 4 or 5 episodes. But I still enjoyed it mostly.

He had just been released from a psychiatric hospital, what did you expect? I didn't have any problem whatsoever with his performance.

As for Gary? Yeah, I can kinda agree on that one, but the whole series kept the same tone throughout, like it was a bad dream of sorts, which is fitting considering everything.

Fine, fine, I'll leave! But first I'm going to bother these peanuts! Hmm? Yes? Hmm? HMM?

Indeed! However if that was intentional hes one hell of an actor! And given the theme of the show he fits in really well.
