Scary? What am I missing?

I watched 3 episodes so far, and it's actually hilarious and weird. It really isn't terryfing or creepy. Direction is so weird also. Sudden cuts, almost no tension during the scenes, illogical dialogs...

I recommended it to my friends, so we could watch this show together, just for the sake of the mystery in it. I was very uncomfortable during the whole two episodes we watched, because it was so tedious and weirdly acted. Am I watching it the wrong way, in which I mean that I should watch it alone?

Right now, I wouldn't rate this above 5/10.
