Welcome Home, Eddie's reaction

I know Eddie told Mike that this was Mike's world too, but when Mile turned into young Mike, Eddie looked taken aback. He appeared to have a shocked look as he took a step back against the TV. Why was he so surprised? Not expecting Mike to be so powerful? Potentially, Mike is the powerful one and not Eddie? The shock of seeing Eddie hurt released it from Mike?
