Its rare that im actually creeped out while watching horror

But damn this is one of the creepiest shows I've ever seen. Especially for it being the Pilot ep. I am a huge horror fan and I cant remember the last time something actually had me feeling paranoid after 48 mins. The length of the show with commercials for those of you who still watch tv on tv.

If you are a horror buff you will love this.

Me too!! I love horror and most things dont scare me, but this built up really good and i felt on edge the whole time, i dont know why but when he got back to the table and talked about the show and said the daughter just seen it, for some reason that was the creepiest part of ep1

I don't know what it is, but somehow this show has sort of a dreamlike quality to it, which makes it feel like an actual nightmare. Seriously, this is the closest I've seen to a legit nightmare represented on screen. I've been a horror fan for years, but there were some points where I wanted to look away, not because of blood or gore or anything, but because it was creepy as hell.

I couldn't articulate what it is that created a very different feel for me also. I said it felt lime a 70's b horrror flick,,,which is a terrible way to describe it. It must remind me of some old 70's movie??? Either way it feels different somehow. The affect of the actors, the creepy kids. Maybe it is the twilight zone feel I'm reacting to???

The main actors all have a strange affect. Like it is all a dream somehow.
But I'm having some trouble getting into it. I'm curious and am watching, but I'm not compelled. That could be mood. Many times a movie or film will not strike me the first time I see it,then later becomes just the opposite. Farscape was one. I am a true fan,but the first time I saw it i wasn't attracted. A year later for some reason I was hooked immediately...???

Totally agree with you. Makes The Exorcist TV show look rather tame.

I'd say they're both equally creepy. Channel Zero is creepy because of the surreal-ness of it, The Exorcist is creep because it just plain scary.

Just watched tonight's episode and I was scared! The sheriff's wife is the same actress who plays Eph's vampire wife on The Strain-(and the creepy Zack's mother)

I need my alternate universe back

What truly horrifies me about this show is how slow it is. They clearly failed to attend the class of how to water out 1 episode content to 6.

Like I've said before there is nothing wrong with the STORY. It's the *execution* of it that is terrible. The only good thing about the entire show, imo, is that creepy cartoon. That's top notch material right there.

I finally just watched the 1st episode and I have one word for it.....CREEPY! :)

The neat thing about this show is that it actually feels lIke true horror.

So many of the 'horror' shows now are mostly melodramas wrapped in horror imagery.

So true. I don't scare easily and I watch a lot of horror but this creeped me out and gave me nightmares. Very good show and original. Gets under your skin.
