101 Things I learnt from Te3n (spoilers, obviously)

1) No one asks little kids who really kidnapped them after they are rescued.

2) Orphanages keeps extensive records or who donated a dirty donated woolen cap to them.

3) Women can't recognize a swan, but they can recognize that this type of 'bird' logo was on some random paper they happened to glance at 8+ years ago.

4) When your grandchild is kidnapped, it's best not to bother her father till you get her back, because you know... it may stress him out.. and logic and stuff.

5) You can befriend a little boy, call his grandfather with two blank calls, gift the boy new football shoes, hide the boy and call back his grandfather in 30 seconds, as long as you are a physically weak 70 year old man.

6) The land department keeps extensive computerized records of 2000 employees with neatly categorized dates of joining and leaving.

7) Kumar is a mutant who gets paralyzed when the lights turn off, and Amitabh Bachchan gains extra energy in the dark.

8) A creamish-yellow wall with a dust outline of a mirror is a forensically significant clue, and a unique phenomenon in only one house in the whole of West Bengal.

9) The forensic team can match the DNA on two different cigarette butts in a matter of hours, but it takes a former detective and an audio expert a whole night listen to two calls, before the Einsteins figure out that it's the exact same recording.

10) Manohar is the world's biggest idiot in not figuring out that this could perhaps be a revenge plot when his grandkid's kidnapper uses the EXACT same modus operandi as he himself did just 8 years ago.

11) As above, Manohar couldn't just go knock down Amitabh Bachchan's door and be all like "B**ch, where's my grandson? I know youse done it."

12) If you find a really old used pen without a cap in a random old trunk that you dug up, you don't throw it away, but you keep you know.. just in case someone needs to fix a spark plug with it someday.

13) The police didn't know what a gps tracker was in 2007, and by the time 2015 came along they at least had a gps tracker the size of a 80's TV remote. Of course, they still couldn't figure out that you could conceal/ stitch/ hide the gps tracker in the bag.

14) If you can't find the child physically, you can't charge the kidnapper with kidnapping charges, or so sayeth the police (Vidya Balan's character).

15) Despite it's many trysts with the law, Bollywood and its actors, directors etc. still do not know one of the fundamental aspects of criminal jurisprudence in India that a confession before the police is not admissible in court.

Gah........... I could keep going on!!

16) The second time the police knew he would come dressed as an army man and mingle with the crowd, they could not have a whole coach of policemen in army clothes and catch hold of anyone that picked up the bag, they had to do the customary running around railway lines.

Te3n is an 80% copy of a Korean movie Montage. In montage it's a woman who has to wait for 15 years to catch the kidnapper of her daughter. Even the bag left on the platform and the chase in the railway yard and caught throwing the bag , is a scene to scene copy. In Te3n it's a 70 year old granpa who waits 8 years.

9b. Even when the Einsteins are confronted with the fact that it absolutely IS the same recording, they are still in denial about it.
