WINNER PREDICTIONS... Want to win v. Will win?

We only have 5 contestants left (3 women and 2 men!).

Who do you WANT to win and who do you THINK will win?

I like Callie the best and would love to see her win.
I think Fowler will win...because his shelter seems the most snow-worthy.

Watching Season 1, they edited Alan's segments (the eventual winner) to show him pining for his family and home....same for last year's winner. It's like they're editing to give you pause to think whether that person will get past that homesickness or not...

Those are my picks. What do you think...and why?

I want Fowler to win because I am enthralled by his woodworking skills. I also love that he was smart enough to get away from the water, that his shelter is so awesome, that he carved a bunny for his baby, that he showed such vulnerability when missing the sun, that he really lives in a yurt, how he met his wife and on and on. He is earnest, competent and a good egg.

Callie and Dave are too flashy for me, I like a bit of humility (it must be a Canadian thing). I really like Megan but feel she is suffering, Carleigh I feel I know the least. She's so Zen she might just win from zero expenditure of energy.

So Fowler with the bird cage on the hillside is what I'm hoping for but I think it might be Callie with the clothes rack in the tiki lounge.😁

Want Carrie to win; Think Carrie will win.

Fowler is cracking.

Then this Megan -- where did she come from? Did they go like 5 episodes without even showing her?

I think Greg would be my 2nd choice for winner. He seems to be getting by just fine.

It was a little weird with Megan.... They showed her really briefly in the first couple of episodes but then nothing.
An episode or so back I was counting the folks remaining and couldn't figure out who the last person was....then they went back to her recently and I realized we had more women than men left.
If Megan bails soon, she'd have to wonder why she didn't get the show-exposure that some others have.

Nice to see I wasnt the only one. I thought maybe she had difficulty with her cameras so they didnt have enough footage. But for nearly 2 months? No way.
Maybe her footage was just boring, but they would have to show something.
Very weird. Cant figure out an angle on why they wouldnt have shown her all this time.

really hard to predict how these things will end up.. but on paper it seems that Fowler should win due to his great shelter. But, can he hold up mentally.. who knows. But if i had to pick who I ~think~ will win it would be Fowler.

For who i ~want~ to win.. I am rooting for Carliegh (sp?), and Megan i guess after that. I really don't like any of the guys left but i would root for Fowler over Dave. That is just based on how they come across to me on tv.. not really skill levels etc..

Fowler lost a little of his shine with me when he murdered that poor snow-person.😭

But his story stick and the walking staff got him a few brownie points.

Did they actually deconstruct Callie's shelter or was that a reversal of her building process?

i don't know for certain, but assumed that they deconstructed everything the contestants build while there. Seems they would anyway.

I actually think its a demand from the local authorities. They have to clean up after themselves.

I think you are correct. I seem to recall reading they had to remove all traces of their presence. If I was with whatever government office approves television/movie projects, I would want the production company to clean up after themselves. That would also enable the producers to use the same locations in future episodes.

Precisely and Patagonia have several national parks, so to be allowed to make the show in that area, they had with out a doubt to sign a contract, stating they're obligated to clean everything up, and to remove any structure build by the contestants.

There's also restrictions about which animals they're allowed to hunt/catch -- probably only invasive arts, like wild boar, rabbits and rainbow trouts.

zamb -- I like Fowler a lot, but he really is a big brat .

I can just picture his little girl getting mad at him and him totally loving it.

at the beginning i thought carleigh would be in the first to go, now i think she can ship it home :

she has the best shelter for snow, good spirit, balanced mind, humble, good physiology (lots of kapha -search ayurvedda kapha properties- opposite of dave that has too much vata to remain on low diet too long, hence he is so weak now)

fowler has also lots of kapha but the family strings could bring him home (like the runner up in first season). also the over-activity he's displaying is not good sign imo (like luka first season).

ousider :m egan, wouldn't have bet a cent on her either at the beginning (nor yesterday !)

amazing those women really.

My bet is Dave. Even thought he seems to lost the most weight, he mentally has no problem to stay as long he stands on his feet. At least that's my impression.

If he is to win, he's going to have to up his calorie intake with a decent kill. Being too weak to string his bow isn't a good sign.

I'm afraid we won't see any "decent kill" this season. They are all too depleted and probably none of them really is a good hunter even with full stomach. Maybe i'm overly critical but their attempts to catch something other than fish seem kinda pathetic. Would love to see somebody actually succeed in that area after 3 seasons and 30 contestants.

In general the contestants haven't had much success hunting and trapping. Other than Fowler managing to catch a bird that one time, it's been all fish and a few squished mice as far as I can recall.

Before the show started, I had picked Carleigh Fairchild to win. I'm not surprised she's still in the running and hope she wins.

Well was glad and surprised to see callie tap out, I thought she might win.
So now 2-2
Of the 2 guys, the one dave with beard and skinny , I like more than the other guy.
Then the 2 females, I dont know, I dont really like or dislike either one at this point.
Megan did just get a fish and bunch of other food, so I think she is maybe likely
to win.
The 2 guys are both weak and not getting food, and it looks like dave takes a fall
next show.
Carliegh, she is hard to read, but also not getting food.
So megan is the one I would predict to win,and not really sure at this point
who I want to win, except I dont want fowler to win.

I predicted about 75 days it would be over, they are at 73 I think,
so will up that to 83 days.
I think they will start tapping out in next 10 days.

76 days now, and they are all on verge of either evac or tapping.
It is hard to predict, but I will go with megan who just caught 3 fish,
and had the sense to eat them, not save them. lol
But then there is her tooth.
And then it depend on another evac too, both fowler and callie are weak and
havent eaten.

i was pretty close with 83 days, they should have pulled carleigh around 75 days.
