should have been a tie ?

I think a tie with this one would have been more fair, they never said
what fowlers rating was, they were both at the dangerous point of starvation.

Also I think they let them go too far in starving, they should be pulled
way before the 17 % mark.
and or after certain period give them some food , enough to keep from starving,
and let other factors wear them down.

To me it just seemed unfair to pull Carliegh, and not fowler, then next day
make fowler the winner.

They should have pulled dave and carleigh 2-3 weeks before they did, and fowler
should have already been pulled sooner.
each body is different, and some of these like dave ,carleigh, and fowler
could have had damage done that wont show up till later on in their life.

Taking someone down to levels where organs start shutting down or may be
damaged is crazy.

At times this show seems rather amateurish in production and management.
and Carliegh starved herself to dangerous level, only to be pulled late,
and then next day the other guy wins lol.
That is messed up.

To me the moral is dont wait for these clowns to pull you for health reasons,
do it yourself, tap out.

I would also set my own bulimic level to quit at , surely not 17.

yeah.. i can't help but be cynical about this also.

Carliegh seemed really upset still at the reunion.. maybe totally normal or maybe she suspects something but doesn't want to say anything.

Was wondering about Fowler's wife being there... do they keep loved ones close by for a length of time just waiting in case their spouse wins? Patagonia is way down in S.America.. so after they picked up Carliegh they quickly jet Fowler's wife down there on a red eye? That seems doubtful too, so how is she there the very next day?

Maybe there is answers to all this, but it does seem fishy.

Kind of reminds me of Jose's ending last season where he goes into the water, and either he stayed in the frigid water for a long time waiting for the boat to show (unlikely), or the boat happened to be close by (unlikely), or they did some shenanigans with the editing, which makes the whole thing suspect.

All reality shows are edited to create an interesting storyline. The editors/producers take all 100% of the footage and edit it down to about 1% for the viewing audience. Viewers certainly don't come even remotely close to seeing everything. With that in mind, just because the show states the participants are on whatever day doesn't actually mean they're on that day (or that the corresponding footage relates to that very day). In the post above, beavertoof notes a major discrepancy in editing; Jose certainly wouldn't have waited in the cold water for the boat to come - especially since another participant said he/she [i can't remember who but had a cut on an arm] had to wait a long time for the boat/crew to come. I highly doubt Mrs. Fowler would have been able to make the journey on a moment's notice. We may never know the actual events.
