$8,000 Budget

IMDb estimates the budget for this was $8K. That’s AMAZING! And they had a full crew! I bet a lot of people worked on this project as an act of love (or the producers had blackmail dirt on them, or both). I was wary of the film at the start. Jennie Russo was fine, but the acting was much too broad and clearly intended to be bad; and a little of that goes VERY far. That notwithstanding, it won me over. The FX were hugely clever and really funny—unbelievable they had so many FX on this little nothing of a budget. The plot could have been done as straight horror, or even kinda jokey horror (like Teeth). She Kills was a risk on the part of both the producers and the audience, and it paid off. I’m very happy I watched this. If, like me, you start watching and start thinking, “Gee, I dunno . . . ,” stay the course.
