Is this a realistic depiction of British police?

Police chasing criminals and just let them get away? Cops dont carry guns/weapons?

I'm an American and watching some of the episodes just seemed baffling. The guy exiting the church just knocks over the female cop and that's it?

Left me feeling like what a bunch of weak pansy-ass crap. If that is realistic, how the hell do real cops in the UK actually stop or solve crimes?

This is a troll, right?

No, not everything you don't agree with constitutes "trolling".

This seriously annoyed me watching the show, however I did do some googling afterwards and yes, apparently this IS normal, cops dont regularly carry guns.

Having the police just yell "you stay right there!" without any real authority was just super annoying, because the criminal did the most obvious thing, ran away.

Troll lol.

I called the cops a few weeks ago, a man with a hammer was attacking someone on a bus. Armed police turned up in a black 4x4 with blacked out windows with glocks. Regular police dont have guns because no one has guns. Its extremely rare. If they think you do, the armed police are sent, and they will f@#k you up.
Around the same time not far from me in another city a gangster was shot and killed. No stand off, no hesitation. If they think you have a gun they shoot you and ask questions later (if your still alive that is).
