The worst movie I've EVER seen on Lifetime

Horrendous plot, awful characters, crap ending, and INCOMPREHENSIBLY sluggish pacing, this has got to be the worst movie Lifetime has ever aired! It wouldn't surprise me if this movie was used to torture war prisoners with. It'd have them spilling their guts in about 20 minutes.

Not if prisoners have better taste than you ;)

Each to one's own, but Wikipedia apparently disagrees with you, at least regarding the story, it's characters, and its pacing:

based on the internationally-acclaimed 2006 play of the same name by Colette Freedman.

Why did the mom have four daughters (some close in age) if she could not be a good mom to them? Dallas said she had "trouble keeping the house afloat" and in the flashbacks she did not seem to be all that present in her daughter's lives.

I know! From what we saw, she was a terrible mother and the fact that she made one of her own children help her with her suicide and essentially watch her die under the lame excuse that she'd "mess it up" was especially sick.

reply

Because people are stupid, they keep having kids because they think at some point they'll get better at it or not screw it up.

She may have made poor choices, however her daughters did grow into successful, independent women. They may have had been affected by their upbringing, however it molded them to the women they became.
