New fromsoftware player here. I played Bloodborne earlier this year and was hooked. I am just about done wrapping up Dark Souls now even though the four kings are destroying me.
Dark Souls III looks awesome and the Bloodborne add on is coming soon!
It does look pretty incredible. But then again, design was never an issue with FROM SOFTWARE. I'm more concerned that there will be endless grinding/farming required again, which really takes away from the gameplay, in my opinion.
I don't mind the difficulty. In fact, I welcome it, cause it makes for more of a challenge. I just don't like the repetition required in order to succeed/level-up, et.

I know everyone has their own strategy for the Four Kings, but I beat them at a low level using the Furysword from Quelaag. I think that weapon is amazing, it's so fast and the fire damage eats up the Four Kings like nothing. I usually go kamikaze on the first one that appears, and don't bother to heal until he's down. You have enough time in between Kings to heal up and prepare for the next one, so focus on burning them down quick before you top off your health.
Also, once you win, take some time to explore. I know it's a huge dark empty abyss, but without spoiling anything, there's some pretty cool stuff down there.
Sorry to burst your bubble tommyk1287, but I have been through Dark Souls many many times and can clarify that after the four king's have been beaten nothing else is down in the abyss. Google also clarifies this
shareNo way, there's a bonfire down there after the boss, then if you keep going you meet Kaathe, and can join the Darkwraiths. I hope you're trolling, because if you played through DS that many times without becoming a Darkwraith I'll just feel bad for you. :(

shareYeah, movies based on video games are usually really bad. In a way, Bloodborne especially is like a movie....only you have to fill in the plot points yourself. I love that it leaves a lot to your imagination. As Miyazaki himself said, he doesn't want the plots of his games spelled out for everyone. He prefers that players fill in the blanks.
Can't wait for DS3....looks tremendous. Although I am still slogging through Bloodborne and haven't bought Old Hunters DLC yet.
