What happened? ... major spoilers

I think I know what is supposed to have happened .... Ines killed Driss. But the way everything ended, I was almost wondering if Camille was guilty and I had somehow missed something in the kitchen. Is Yoann just embracing Camille because he doesn't want her to be upset when Ines is taken away? Oh, well ... in Europe, I don't think they have the death penalty anymore, or even put people away for very long for murder. So maybe the nice little family can get back together when Ines is out again.

I'm wondering about the ending as well: is he stabbed as he staggers towards Camille? Ines had those scissors in her hand...but there is no trace of blood on Peeter's body

Good question about the staggering. I forgot about that. I, too, wondered if he had been wounded. Surely he had been through so much, it was understandable he was so shaky. Worked well in the ending.

Ines holds the scissors but does not use them. As Yoann staggers into the yard we heard the siren of the police coming to arrest Ines. Yoann's shock is magnified by the fact he must now reveal to Camille the murderous nature of Ines' deeds. Camille already lost her mother. The "little family" that had begun to form has been shattered. More heartache all around. The unrelentingly bleak nature of the series leaves no happy ending for any character, which is one of its many strengths.

I like your analysis especially your comment that the "unrelentingly bleak nature of the series leaves no happy ending for any character, which is one of its many strengths."

He wasn't injured and Ines definitely killed Driss. Peeters suffered another emotional shock/trauma similar to the one he suffered after Drummer's demise. At the end I think Camille was the only thing that could keep him grounded and from absolutely breaking.
