Imagine if it was 100% real, it would suck

This season was sooooooooo boring, even if they did add in all of those footage of deadly animals to make it seem that they're close by. Some may have been pretty close though, and dangerous. Their lives were in jeopardy but not like in the movies, which people expect.

People complain about this, but w/o it, the show would have been like watching grass grow. More reasons why we need crazy b.tches like Honora, that people complained about. Notice how the designated Crazy B.tch tapped out early this season and the show just fizzled compared to last season?

Even with all of the cutting and framing of thousands of hours of footage to piece together some kind of drama, it was just boring.

I actually enjoyed this season, just like I enjoyed Colombia. The Day 29 stuff alone was riveting (but very disgusting) and there was personal drama (Clarence being stubborn to a fault, Darrin being a know-it-all but not-do-much, Steven having the rest of the tribe kind of turn against him because of what Darrin said, etc.). Even if the animals are filmed later and it's edited to make it look like the lions are only a few feet away, the fact remains that there are still ticks, snakes, predators in their native habitat, and poisonous fruit to contend with. I know that nobody on this show is ever going to be attacked by a wild animal in any "traditional" sense of the word because there's a camera crew there 24/7 who can shoo away anything that gets too close. So the naked people have that sense of safety but even with that, it still didn't stop 2/3 of the cast from tapping out or being medically removed before the extraction. All in all, this was a really great season.

Darrin being a know-it-all but not-do-much,

Once again, you didn't even get to see 1% of the total footage; therefore, you certainly did NOT get to see enough to claim Darrin (or anyone else for that matter) did not "do much."

I should have known better than to post my OPINION with you lurking about since you've shown that you exist only to put down those of us who actually enjoy something.

reply

Hey, don't get salty with me just because you fail to understand your opin...excuse me...OPINION was not based on facts.

So you were there in Africa with them? Since I wasn't, I can only go by what I saw on TV as well as what the people who were there had to say about everything and everyone, including Darrin. I didn't hear a lot of praise for his skills but people did comment on how he really enjoyed talking about things but didn't show a lot of actual results.

You're not very bright, dagr317. For whatever reason, you just can't grasp the concept that the editors/producers create a storyline from the total footage. As I've already mentioned, you didn't even get to see even 1% of the total footage, yet blindly believe Naked and Afraid showed EVERYTHING that happened. So if Naked and Afraid showed someone sleeping all the time, would you blindly believe that person slept for 40 straight days????

The editors and producers decide how to cast each participant. They decide if Jake is going to be the "good guy" or "bad guy" just as they do with everyone else. The editors/producers decide what to include in each episode. Darrin very well could have made more kills than what was shown on television. As such, you shouldn't assume that he didn't. Sadly, that concept is lost on you.

My God, you are one insufferable prick aren't you?

Not only do you feel a need to tell everyone they are wrong, but you also have to insult them, too. I mean I have only been reading this board for about 3 minutes and your petty crap has been intertwined with pretty much every click.

What a small and pathetic life you must lead.

Oh please go ahead and tell me how stupid I am even though I've not stated any truths about the show. It's pretty clear that's the only way to make you happy.

I love how you chastise me for name-calling, yet called me names. Boy if that isn't the pot calling the kettle black...

Stigger is just a weakling, little fatboy, living in his mom's basement. He wouldn't last 1 day.....no wait, make that the first 100 yards of hiking, before needing to refuel with a full box of donuts.

Stop making sh.t up. You don't have any proofs of this.

firechicken: "Stop making sh.t up. You don't have any proofs of this."

Actually, I do. And if you had the brainpower to perform basic math, then you would, too. 

You're an idiot and are just making sh.t up, dumbass.

True that most of those lions and bigger animals were much farther or were just spliced in footage....although there were some where they were pretty close. I would say that a couple of hungry lions at 100 yards away, are dangerous as hell. I doubt that any of them can outrun one, even at that distance; and especially while being malnourished and weak. And they were way closer than 100 yards on the show.

Even with a full crew of skilled hunting guides and professional hunters, all armed with high caliber rifles and shotguns, they are known to fail and get attacked by these apex predators like in these videos (of which there are many):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-JnCbR83VA

And I don't think that Naked & Afraid, has the budget to employ this many trained hunters, 24/7 for 40 days. They probably have ONE security guy with a bigass rifle on guard, rotating with 1-2 more on shifts....to protect the Naked People and the camera crew. Mostly, they probably just rely on the animals shying away from humans.

I think they will keep doing it..you have to think, the producers don't have to give the survivors any prize money for surviving.

All they have to do is arrange the travel expenses and yes that can be costly, but I don't think it will never be nearly as expensive if they had to give the men and women like $10,000- $ 100,000 for surviving
