I sure hope.....

That Unlike Blood and Bone Mike Jai White does not almost effortlessly superman his way through this. I think the final fight should be epic and he should have to face an opponent who absolutely rivals him in ability, I want the final fight to be long and epic and end with the hero victorious but decimated. Undisputed 2 and Blood and Bone both failed in the epic final fight category.

I just hope that this will be better than the second film. The first film is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine, being that I have a love/hate relationship with it, considering that I enjoy the film, despite many problems I have with it. The second film's saving graces were the fights and that the four main guys have fighting backgrounds, but it was still ruined by the fact that the guys were unlikable (Except for Todd Duffee's character) and the gratuitous pseudo-pornography in some scenes.

All I need is one mic...

I am sure they are pretty good movies but whenever he makes a movie I get annoyed because I want a sequel to Blood and Bone. Blood and Bone totally deserves a sequel and I emailed Matt Mullins to say he should get his own spinoff as a good guy, "pretty boy" Price was an awesome character. He was not really a "villain" in Blood and Bone like McVeigh, Hammerman, or James, fighting was his job and we never know for sure that he realizes how evil the other characters are. Him as a hero in a spinoff would be cool as hell. If Uri Boyka can go from villain to hero in Undisputed 2 and 3 so can Price.

I wanted Bone to have to face his rival in Blood and Bone 2, and enemy who unlike Price absolutely rivals him in badassness.

They actually have a script for a BLOOD & BONE prequel 
I'd prefer a straight sequel though.

Might be hard to make Bone look YOUNGER when he is now about six years OLDER than when he filmed Blood and Bone. I say SEQUEL and maybe they can EXPLAIN some of the prequel events in it to help us understand the story better.

One thing I would love in the sequel is for him to have to face his rival, an opponent much tougher than Price was who absolutely rivals Bone in fighting ability and badassness. After supermanning his way through everyone in the movie someone who can absolutely rival Bone would seem VERY scary.

One idea I had was the Indian Giant DALAP SINGH. I have read that he is seven foot 3 and weighs about 360 pounds (all muscle). He could totally dwarf Mike Jai White.

I also really wanted a spinoff where "pretty boy" Price is the protagonist. He was not really a villain in Blood and Bone like McVeigh and James and Hammerman were, it was just his job to fight Bone, if Uri Boyka can go from villain to hero so could he.

Michael Looks the same now as he did 10 and maybe 20 years ago, so the look shouldn't be a problem (it depends how long his character was in prison)

Jason David Frank could do well against him on screen. And both are full contact fighters 

True that guy really ages well he does pretty much look the same. Some flashback scenes to fill in the gaps as to certain aspects of his past and how he ended up in prison would be good but not an entire prequel movie, I want to push the story forward.

And what do you think of my idea of Price having his own spinoff as a good guy or making a repeat appearance in the Blood and Bone sequel if it ever happens?

reply

I don't see Price as even being enough of a character to have his own movie, let alone be the good guy ... but you know, what you say about Michael aging makes me wonder if the prequel shouldn't/should be both a sequel AD a prequel, like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom:

Open on what sent him to prison then cut to him returning home and being surrounded by those same characters that were around when he go locked up, with constant flashbacks of his old relationships with them so we can see how they've changed.

I see Jason David Frank as the bad guy with equal martial arts training and a drug lord that Bone tried to put away, only to have them try and kill kill and accidentally get his brother. Now he's home to bring them down.

I did some research on the guy he is smaller than Mike White, Mike white is six two this guy is only five eleven and White has some extra weight on him all of it pure muscle. But Scott Adkins is smaller than Mike and they made it work for Undisputed 2 so who knows?

Can you blame me for wanting more Price? that guy was cool.

reply

I'd rather have seen Price and Bone become allies in a sequel if they made it much sooner. Price tracks Bone down and wants a rematch and they get into a brawl which ends with them talking it out and he finds out why Bones did what he did in the first film.

They end up having a mutual enemy and team up.

I like the idea of Price as a HERO or PROTAGONIST and getting to see him fight people OTHER than Bone. He was not really a 'villain" in the first film, fighting was his job but he was not a villain the way McVeigh and James were, he likely was not even aware of their criminality (or the extent of it).

If Yuri Boyka of Undisputed 2 could cross over from being villain to hero then why not Price. The character was so cool that he deserves his own spinoff.

I emailed (and got a response) Matt Mullins to suggest that.
