I'm on season 3 now and I don't think it's as bad as I've been told but I definitely see why people don't like it. It's hard getting use to a colder queen Elizabeth. Where in the first 2 seasons you saw more of what was going on behind her decisions and now she is being positioned into a lesser role for the younger cast to take over. That's not a bad thing as in these time periods the story should focus more on Charles and that plot. But it's sad to see less into the Queen's mind. However, her scenes with her uncle were very emotional.
The storyline choices could have been better/more engaging but 3 that I really enjoyed so far were Aberfan, Charles learning Welsh and Phillip meeting the astronauts. Those were some great character developmental stories. I believe I have one more episode left and then onto season 4.
