Unlikable characters

Although I can empathize with certain moments these characters will go through like Philip's despair about being emasculated, or Margaret's wanting to marry the man she loves, and Elizabeth having to fulfill her role as queen; all these characters are essentially unlikable at their very core. Because if you think about it, most people will go through such trials and tribulations through various forms even if different, be it in the battlefield, or within the society imposing strictures on you. But what makes people or characters admirable to people's consciousness is character and integrity.

Elizabeth for example is infuriating that she doesn't have any at all, she is wishy washy, her word has no bearing whatsoever, is not reliable in the slightest, is easily swayed and gives her word without thought of the repercussions. A person who has no integrity and cannot stick by their word and constantly changes it at every opportunity is hard to root for unfortunately.

Also notice how over dramatic they try to make everything with its swelling music over the Queen Mother's visit for example? Lol, I don't know whether to laugh or cringe sometimes.

Plus didn't Elizabeth like wearing bright suits/clothes? Here she's always wearing plain dark clothes.
