A few good scares but no explanations

To be fair there is a good bit of atmosphere and scares.

But i like more than that and a few good scares do not a good horror make , there has to be more and there is no explanation of why the girl was in the cellar or the loony bin or what her father did to her or why she was doing what she did and and and....

As for originality -> Bit of a ripoff of the much better horror "Darkness Falls".

Better than your average scary movie but not by much!

But one of the good things to come out of the movie is I decided to buy one of those magic windup high power multifunction torches the girl uses in the cellar off Amazon to scare away the ghosties from my bedroom cupboard lol

Here is a link just in case anyone else has any ghosties, ghouls or scary witches they need to vanquish!

Its uncle Frank Kirsty!
Its time to play!

All of the explanations that were not explained are probably going to be explained in the sequel. And god no, this movie was far superior to Darkness Falls. I honestly thought Darkness Falls kinda sucked. Plus, sorry if this sounds rude because I don't mean for it to, but just because they have similar plot points doesn't mean Lights Out is a rip off. Besides the similar plots, both movies are completely different from one another.
