Part that made absolutely no sense....

When the chick went to go check on her mom to see if she was okay, it was completely obvious Diana was in there. The mom handed her a note saying "help me" and the daughter didn't do anything about it. She acted like she wasn't concerned at all. She didn't go into the room or anything to ask her what that was all about. Very stupid party in my opinion

She couldn't do anything??? What's she supposed to do, fight the ghost??? She definitely looked concerned and very afraid when she read the note. She tried to help her mother, but that didn't end up working.

reply

"A psycho killer ghost is holding my mom effectively captive. I think I'll anger it by barging into the room and drawing suspicion onto my mom!"

reply

She had to wait for the right time to help her. That is why she came back for her to help her.

reply

Nah, there's definitely a lot more than just the trailer. Although, I still don't think it's anywhere close to a great film.

Wrong thread, on mobile so can't delete lol

No she does try to help. She knew that Diana only manifests herself whenever her mom stops taking her medication. So, right after the scene you've mentioned, Rebecca goes up to the medicine cabinet to look for her pills but is unable to find any. She then rushes back to her brother as she doesn't want to keep him alone.

reply

The note wasnt to say she needed help right this very second, it was more of admitting that Diana isn't her "friend" and she needs help. Barging into the room would have done nothing

reply

I didn't understand how Diana was a creation of the mother's psyche but still wound up at the daughter's apartment

reply

Codependency? "Folie à deux"? Quite common that family members "adapt" to a mentally ill person or even develop similar conditions.

reply

because otherwise there would be no film like it is.
