How to hurt Diana

Hello All,

Please can someone clarify.

Why is that sometimes the light hurts/burns Diana , and sometimes it just makes her vanish. Which one is it?

Does it have to do with the voltage or the brand of light bulb?

Its a combination of ultraviolet light(black light) and normal light.

her disease make her sensible to uv light.

In the two scenes where it hurts her she was hanging on to the girl. I figured she was willing herself away the other times but time was trying to get her.
