crappy film - much worse than the original

Oh - it started out well enough - maleficent seemed quite normal and not evil, which is a surprise given her role in the original film. But then we get the one-dimensional evil queen who wants to kill all non-humans - and she's as evil as it gets without redemption (lame, lame, lame).
Mleficent is now the savior of all - which is quite a leap -
Then we get the shitty fairy tale ending, where peeps are killing other one moment are hugging each other the moment the queen is dead -

Positives: very good sfx, great sets and costumes.
Negative: lame story/script, very white and black with no grey in-between. This film is more childlish in terms of story and character depth than the first one - I had my eyes roll more than once -

All in all, I'd advise against seeing it, if you think the first film was OK - because this film is much worse. It's more childlish through and through.
