I remember the Midnight Express dude...

.. The real one the movie was based on,years after his escape when he returned, talking about how people in Turkey were always constantly asking him not to show the country in a bad light & how Turkey as a nation was very paranoid about how the international community viewed Turkey.
I think this is a big part of the reason Turks are vigorously rigging imdb votes for this movie.
Turkey needs to realise that the genocide was a long time ago and just face the crimes in their past then move on.All countries have got heinous *beep* in their pasts but most don't go around trying to deny it like a propaganda driven Banana republic.
