couldn't find any stock footage?
they really needed a cgi mansion with snow falling?
or a cgi jeep driving down the road with fake snow?
they had to put cgi xmas tree in california and fake xmas decor on LAX? no stock footage anywhere?

And terrible chi at that. The mansion looks like they took a close up of a house in a snow globe.
shareIt was really bad. That house and the driving scenes
shareI didn't mind that as much as the geography. It would take about 8 hours to drive from Buffalo out to the Hamptons--in the best of conditions on the highways, and they were driving on secondary roads in a blizzard at Christmas (there probably would have been other traffic). And they made it seem as if the Hamptons are just a short driving distance from NYC, so Dylan could just easily scoot out to the country club there to deliver her board. The roads wouldn't have been plowed that fast after such a mammoth storm, and it's at least a 2 hour drive in the best of conditions.
shareI think in these movies a poor shot or 2 isn't too bad, but those shots of the toy mansion were ridiculous. we all know that budgets on these movies are wafer thin, but really, the amount of times that they use cotton wool matting in place of snow turns many a good scene into farce.
