Most annoying TV kids ever?

I tend to strongly dislike kids in movies, tv shows, and books as a general rule due to a tendency to make them overly cutesy or act about 5 years younger than their supposed age. These two, however, stood out as particularly annoying and I almost stopped watching, but I like Lacey so I stuck with it. Why do all writers think that the cloying overly-cute kid, almost as caricatures, are appealing?
