This movie was sentimental with childish characters and mediocre acting. There were some cheesy comedy and it was sometimes beautiful and interesting. The movie was about nostalgia on Christmas and it put me off.

What was the point in her accepting the possible timeline family as they will never be born, nor could her relationship with Ben be the same.

I agree. However, that is a good thing because that family was very disfunctional.
