Total rip-off
Isn't this the EXACT same plot as "Family Man" with Nicholas Cage?
shareLifetime had Comfort and Joy a few years ago with Nancy McKeon.
shareI'm not sure how Hallmark doesn't get sued.
Many of their movies are thinly veiled remakes, like this one and last year's "I Do, I Do, I Do" was a response of "Groundhog Day."
I suppos it counts as protected satire somehow.
They don't get sued because nobody would bother suing a movie that cannot take much of the profits. It's a low budget film. It wouldn't make a dent in anything. It's just like Asylum productions. They almost never get sued for all their rip offs because it doesn't take away the profit from the original/bigger film.
shareI haven't seen "I Do, I Do, I Do", but I thought the same thing about "12 Dates of Christmas" which was actually from ABC Family.
Mediocre Marx Brothers is better than no Marx Brothers!
It's not even the first ripoff of "Family Man" on Hallmark which is funny.
There's "A Family Thanksgiving" too

It was cute, but they did use some of the exact same lines (not my house/kids, if you really want this we can do it, etc). I quoted them as they said it when I watched it.
shareYes!!! I thought the same thing. The Family Man is one of my favorite movies. I could not believe how much they took from TFM! It was quite hilarious though.
shareI was telling my husband the same thing -- some of the exact same lines. It's kind of crazy.
shareYes! And worse acting.
shareThis is definitely a gender reversal of The Family Man.
shareYea it was laughable the most blatant was leaving your significant other at the airport to go to a great job and saying you'll be back , then waking up in the house and stealing the mini van and going to work and old apt building to get turned away. Then when he/she returns , significant other is on the phone trying to track them down
