Tragic

This is why in a the movie "About Time" there was the rule about time travel that you couldn't go back once you had children. The little girls were born, grew up, had real lives, and then were wiped off the face of the earth. Where did those two little souls go? Granted they were manipulative spoiled little snots but still.

Lacey Chabert's performance was the best one I have seen from her yet. Good Comedy in places. I did not like her husband's passive aggressive behavior over the Pizza and throughout. Her kids all pouty because she brought store-bought cookies. I don't know how she not only put up with their s**t, but decided she actually liked it? He did kind of redeem himself a little when he told her he supported her taking the job opportunity and he would make it work somehow. Or was he just trying to guilt trip her back under his thumb?

No, I think you got this all wrong. I'm clearly going to mansplain this one. The husband wasn't being "passive aggressive" on purpose. Her behavior was odd at every step of the way ever since she woke up. Her kids reacted the same way the father did. They were used to their mother making cookies for them and not taking the easy way out.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the father and the kids. The whole point was that she was dropped right in the middle of it everything and she had no idea what was going on.

Yes, you're right. That is how they were trained and what they were used to. However, they could have been more gracious about the pizza and the store bought cookies. Or just shrugged it off. I think this movie actually had a lot of layers. I think it was meant to show how shallow their lives were even though they were a happy family: that they would place such importance on such trivial things. One of the few Holiday movies where the heroine actually and happily(eventually) goes back to her old single career-oriented life. It really did bother me about the kids, though. Gigantic plot hole.

This is a terrible movie for women who want a career and a family. Being a housewife is just about catering to other people's needs. When is it ok for a woman to do something for herself? The "career" part was a bit extreme too...the only thing that matters should be your "career"...ugh. So UNINSPIRING AND BORING! At least in family man, the wife was a lawyer and still balanced her life along with her family. This one is just disappointing...

Those kids never existed, they were just shadows of shat might have been. There's every chance she gives birth to them after the end of the film :p

of what might have been* unfortunate typo

She may give birth, but it wouldn't be to them. The only way they would have been born was if the alternate reality had played out the way it did.
