Looks like Marvel/Paramount failed to trademark this name.

Shame, the name would've fit so well for an independent film about the War Machine suit.

While I grant it seems like they might be trying to ride on Marvel's coattails with the name, I don't think "War Machine" can really be trademarked, I'm pretty sure the term and the concept have been around longer than the Iron Man version.

The same reason they can't trademark the name "Thor".

If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Same with Half-Life and Gambit, thought the characters and game are trademarks, the words aren't. So that's why when the films Half-Life and Gambit came out, Fanboys were soooo disappointed and/or angry LOL

I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.

The Marvel character wasn't even the first thing I thought of. I was thinking of the mma fighter who beat up his wife.
