Next Fallout game wishlist

I'll start
1. More customisation for the character.
2. Be able to be completely evil
3. Be able to choose character's species like Skyrim, though in this case human, ghoul, synth(preferably the human like ones etc Danse)
4. More factions and faction questlines
5. Have more humans around for settlements etc so far in this i have 18 settlements with only 100 humans.
6. Have an even bigger open world
7. Access to everywhere without the occasional inaccessable locations.
8. Tougher human npc's no shot in the leg with a gun that does like 10 damage and die instantly
9. Be able to travel with a lot more companions at once if you want
10. Be able to have more companions like Skyrim, on Skyrim i must have had about 20 and knew there was even more still to meet, whereas on Fallout 4 theres what like 12 at the most?
11. Try again with the voiced protagonist(this grew on me) but maybe be like Saints Row sequels where there was more than one recorded for each sex.
12. Character customisation expanded- be able to choose characters height.

These points are all just my opinion etc i know the voiced protagonist feature wasn't for everyone.

Sorry to skip over most of your points. I just wanted to address point 5. You are building recruitment beacons, powering them, and they are switched on right?

I am level 39 and I have at least 6 settlements that are at my cap (with my char suit on) of 20 settlers. Plus another 4 or 5 somewhere between 10 and 20.

The cap for this is char + 10, and any gear or drugs will add to that. Hence I have 20 just from wearing suits when I trade.

Not sure how you have 18 settlements and only 100 ppl. Maybe you aren't feeding, hydrating or providing bedding for enough ppl?

And now you're gonna die, wearing that stupid little hat. How does it feel?

reply

Yes i've been using recruitment beacons built and switched on doesnt mean they actually attract people to settlements that much on my game it can take a long in-game time for anyone to come and when people do come its few and far between sometimes people just dont

I have more than 100 things roaming them i was only counting actual humans and excluding synths, robots, animals etc

Already got char +10

I left some of my settlements without beacons if it was a tiny settlement ran by a tiny family but that is a very tiny number of settlements out of 18(took a while to get 18 im level 52)

Still think there should be a higher number than 20 people per settlement maybe 50 or 100 cos when Defend The Castle was looming i wanted a great big war in its courtyard so when it stopped letting me send settlers there after i sent 20 it was a little disappointing

Are you aware that if you have 4 people unnassigned in a settlement that you won't get more?

It would be nice, but 20 people is probably more than the xbone/ps4it could handle. So we are stuck with those limits unless you mod.

If you're on pc then.... mod it. What you want is there.

1. Agreed with you more character customization, more options, finer control etc.
2. Deeper role-playing options. At least more options than 'Go here and shoot these people' or 'Go talk to these people for a second, then shoot them'.
3. Less rigid story, let us inform our own backstory and characters a little more. Or if they go with something like Fallout 4, let us play their backstory, and have that inform character development, like
Dragon Age Origins, or Oblivion. Also, while we're at it, remove the voiced protagonist.
4. Retool the settlement building, maybe just one huge city/town, and use that to spread influence across the wasteland, for good or ill. Build your own faction based
in the city. Also, settlements shouldn't automatically look as though they were cobbled together from junk. If you can build a laser turret, and pour concrete foundation, you should be able to build decent looking buildings.

If I think of more I'll be back.

5. Different species like you said would be good. But not just for the sake of it. Each should have benefits and weaknesses. Also reintroduce traits, and maybe have race exclusive traits.
Examples:
A synth would maybe start with higher intelligence, or the first level of the Science! Perk, but would have a harder time gaining someone's trust and thus reputation.

A ghoul would be immune to radiation, but have a lower endurance, or something like that. Also charisma would take a hit.

A Super Mutant would start with one or two Melee Weapons perks, and have higher strength and endurance than the other classes. Intelligence would take a hit by way of balance.

The human would probably be an all rounder.

A Super Mutant would be physically stronger and more durable than the other classes, but be less intelligent and charismatic than the other classes.

A human would be smarter and charismatic than a ghoul and Super
Mutant, but physically weaker and less durable.

Synths and Humans would be mostly similar, strengths and weakness wise, but would maybe start with different perks or traits.

If I think of more I'll be back.

I love all of those ideas. But I feel in this game you are just giving a single perk away. Fallout hasn't been an rpg for a decade now. They want a shooter and an rpg

And now you're gonna die, wearing that stupid little hat. How does it feel?

reply

Do you mean that the bonus shouldn't be a perk from the tree? Or an extra perk would be unnecessary? Agreed about the RPG elements, they've been significantly pared down for 4.

reply

I mean all of the unique abilities are pretty much just a perk, or 3. So being a ghoul would still just be cosmetic, due to a human getting a lead belly perk etc

13. For character customisation make it possible to choose character's height, make there be more hairstyles, nail polish and things, more facial tatoos, etc
14. Let the evil go all out by allowing to actually join the raiders and the gunners.etc
15. More creatures in the wasteland
16. Make it be set in a whole new fictional location, not a real place like Massachusets or Washington
17. Those settlement quests get irritating, be able to help them in more ways than craft this craft that kill this rescue that, make the settlements less dependent, they can do nothing for themselves at all in Fallout 4 and its ridiculous

reply

Expanding on a reintroduced/remodeled moral/karma system I'd like to see...

Karma dependent quests- different quests/storyline branches for the good and eeeevil player.

NPC reactions differing dependent on your karma rating.

Different 'police'/guards around existing settlements and some kind of punishment system (bribe/fine/prison) like in Skyrim. Prisons to escape from. Perhaps as an addition there could be a fighting pit, where you can fight for your release.

If settlement building' your thing, the Karma rating should influence your settlement/the type of settlers you attract. As well as nice, quaint little settlement, you should be able to form raider camps and ransack other settlements.

reply

Good ideas! If they do bring back Karma, it should be more sophisticated than a sliding scale. For instance, you shouldn't be able to nuke an entire city then reset your karma by donating a bunch a purified waters.

reply

18. More variety in clothing, seriously won't sandals, heels, stetsons, leggings, tracksuits, cargo pants etc exist in the future?....

reply

19. Make the default dog companion/pet female for a change, also how about a name change as well instead of the usual "Dogmeat"

20. Be able to have cats as companions/pets as well

21. Animals under the water.

22. Be able to tame certain creatures to
the point of having them as pets and
mounts, could be Fallouts answer to the Skyrim horses, imagine having a deathclaw as a pet, or riding a deathclaw through the wasteland?

reply

Having a deathclaw for a pet would be awesome. That's what I liked about the Broken Steel DLC for FO 3. You got the signal jammer that caused the Enclave controlled deathclaws to fight for you.
And for the record, I would name my deathclaw Fluffy.

Close only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and thermo-nuclear weapons.

reply

1. Companions have to get the hell out of doors or in General not block me.
2. More companions at once and build in roll play strategy. I'm otherwords more teamwork in battles.
3. Loading time has got to get faster.
4. Be able to be evil and have quests for that.
5. Better main storyline.
6. A slightly easier perks.
7. Put monsters in deep section of water have them sneak up on you.

reply

The ability to repair certain vehicles - cars, motorcycles, etc, and be able to use them to travel around the wasteland. Kind of a mad max element, I guess.
