Two questions

Just started a new game after downloading all the DLC (except Atomatron, downloaded that before finishing my previous game). I'm basically playing this playthru to get the achievements i haven't gotten yet (Institute, Railroad, achievements for the DLC's). My question, is there a point i can save my game and get all the Institute achievements, then reload and get the Railroad ones?
Also, I noticed Dogmeat us now just Dog. Is this a glitch or did I mess up and not get his name? I could have sworn he was Dogmeat when i first saw him durjng my first playthru. This time as soon as I met him, the molerats jumped out and started attacking.

That should be "during my first playthru."

Adding a third question, any mods that i should try? Once i get all the achievements (what can i say, I'm a bit of a completionist) I'm gonna try some mods. I play on the XBox One btw.

The latest you could save to have a starting point for doing multiple runs... seems to be just before you choose who builds the machine that lets you infiltrate the Institute. That's really pretty early on, but that point will let you hit all the high points from each faction.

But I wouldn't suggest it personally. I have 5 different characters in FO 4 currently. A lot of the enjoyment is developing different kinds of characters rather than grinding out experience trying to "max out" a single character who has "everything." I have a melee based character, a pistol based gunslinger, a rifleman/sniper soldier, and a pugilist arsonist/bomber. And I started, but haven't played much of a gun nut/commando build as well. I can "finish the game" and only hit level 40 or so. Playing beyond that seems to me to be a grindy waste of time.

And mods... well, I'm a pc player so I don't really know about XBOX. But they probably have a questfix/bugfixes patch, generally on pc referred to as the "unofficial patch." That's always a good place to start. Otherwise, half the fun is looking through them and trying a couple for yourself. I have a couple that tweak the weather, and one that plays John Cena's music when I fire a mini-nuke. But I've tried dozens, some cool and some that weren't as cool as advertised.
