Decent list, but I agree Lifetime should stop.

By the way, there was a Brady Bunch one. You just reminded me of it! The real Bobby Brady--Mike Lookaland's--son played him. That's about all I recall. That and it tackled "Greg" and "Marcia" macking on each other, and theatrically-trained, Robert Reed loathing the increasingly silly plots and butting heads with Sherwood. So it's been done. (Wish a channel would rerun more old tv movies.)

"I Love Lucy" was kind of done over a decade ago. I remember people hating on the Lucille Ball... because, yeah, who could play such an iconic person? Some threw out Debra Messing, which actually wasn't too shabby. I'm not sure about now though. The movie more dealt with Lucy and Desi too, so there have been no pure "behind the scene" ILL film done. A lot to work with there!

Fresh Prince too, and ALF, and many you said. If Lifetime could handle it, I'd say, "YEASS." But they've stunk so far. :/

Haha, good point; a Brady one could be redone. I just have dwindling faith in Lifetime.

Oh my Gosh, an ILL one would be so interesting; if done right. Viv and WF loathed each other. It started with her, but the feeling definitely was mutual. She did not dig having what she thought was an oaf of a husband who was 20 years her senior; he thought she was a snoot. Lucy was jealous over Viv initially, and yep, by all accounts, the weight clause (to be heavier) was in VV's contract. Only in the final season (partly because they really did become dear friends), Viv got to finally dress how she wanted and wear her hair better.

Frawley's drinking was so out of control, he almost lost the job early on. Lucy--no shrinking violet--wasn't jazzed about those two as Ethel and Fred and had two others in mind: Gale Gordon and an actress whose name escapes me. (She played a spinster in season one who has the hots for a grocery-delivery fellow.) Desi did get the final say, and he made the right choice.

Desi and Lucy's issues to tell, and also many highlights; biggest show... ever; breaking the boundry by having a Cuban husband married to a Caucasian gal from America. Probably hard for younger viewers to believe that was even an issue back then. Or them writing in Lucy's pregnancy... No easy feat and first time done on tv!

Okay, I'll stop now, LOL. If done well, ILL has so much to tell,

And jumping to ALF... definite true behind-the-scenes drama. I never cared for that show, so much of the film having ALF schlep around isn't the most appealing, lol. Also, admittedly, he is so iconic, many probably wuld balk at who does his voice. Nevertheless, the gruelling work hours to get his shots right, the cast despises it all, other friction and issues; that one definitely could be interesting. Plenty of the above list could be.

I'm reserving more judgement until 90210. I never did watch the show, but I know enough of the drama. Lifetime should be able to handle it, and I hope they do. (Melrose is the one that probably is light on a real story, and that might make me personally shun the idea of anymore of these movies done by Lifetime.)

Yess to all of that. You know your "I Love Lucy" history. :)

Also one more thing to add: the movie could address Vivian having difficulty with her iconic role and fans coming up to her and calling her "Ethel." Apparently that was a big reason why Lucy made sure Vivian's character's name on her next show was "Viv."

There would be so many truly interesting things to tell. Unlike the FH one, the ILL one (and others) could really touch on the dynamics of the group or members within the group. As I predicted before the FH one came out, they'd more address "individual issues" of cast members because there really weren't many group issues. What makes "behind the scene, tell-alls" so interesting is when there are core issues among the group. With almost only individual issues--especially with such a large cast--it's difficult for a film to properly address much of anything, and it becomes "a mosh pit" of stories.

oh my gosh, i wouldn't wanna watch that, it would make me too sad! I love that show!!

Decent list I would like to see ones about home improvement and fresh prince because that was just as much a part of my child as full house was.

Thee only one out of that list I couldn't see them making is The Cosby Show for well, obvious reasons. Lifetime is controversial sometimes but I don't think that is a line they would cross.

That's what I was thinking too. And didn't Will Smith marry one of the actresses that played one of his characters girlfriends?

If they did Family Matters the drama would be Urkel becoming focal point of the show.

None. Lifetime needs to stop tarnishing legacies.

Agreed.

buffy would be hilarious with the supposed smg drama.

reply

yeah that is kind of why I wwant a Charmed one too because my babysitter (who got me into the show) said there was a lot of drama with the actress that played the oldest sister and that's why she was killed off

Well I seen that 90210 and Melrose Place were next.

But stay tuned for the UNAUTHORIZED stories of Bewitched, The Brady Bunch, Married with Children and Cheers.

Bah idk really but it wouldn't suprise me if they go there soon.

Dawson's Creek.

Salute Your Shorts or You Can't Do That on Television.

Either probably had a billion pranks going on at any given time. Doubt there was much sex- or drug-fueled drama going on, but with kids at those age, who knows.

The Wonder Years.

Ooh, The Wonder Years would be a good one.

Yes, they need to stop this trash...but I love trash!! I can't help it! Haha!

What? The original Aunt Viv was fired? I had no clue. Can anyone tell me why?

Also I would love to see a Boy Meets World one and Home Improvement. I remember watching E! True Hollywood Story and they said Tim Allen and JTT had some bad blood because JTT wanted to leave the show to go to college.

FRESH muthafriggin PRINCE OF BEL AIR... that'd be cool, or maybe FAMILY MATTERS, or STEP BY STEP (if they don't shy away for Sasha Mitchell's domestic Abuse)

Have you ever stared fear and danger in the eye and said; YES?

reply

I hope they do one on Two and a Half Men. With all the stuff that went on behind the scenes with that show a movie about it should ideally be pretty entertaining.

reply

All In The Family, with the struggles to get the show on the air, as well as the behind-the-scenes turmoil, especially between Carroll O'Connor and Norman Lear.
