I an curious as to what kind of person likes a show like this.

I can see if someone who is transgender or related to one might watch but who else and why?

reply

I watched it to be supportive of Caitlyn and to learn more about transgendered people's lives. How their lives change. How people treat them. Unfortunately, this show was just boring, contrived b.s. and I won't be watching season 2.

reply

LOL, now I'm curious as to why you would've wanted to be "supportive" of Jenner, really...

The guy lived his youth for the Olympic games, fathered a boatload of children (w/different mothers, who knows how any illegitimate), held seminars about it - which had, apparently, earned him a fortune along w/everything else - all so that he would, eventually, kill someone in traffic by directly causing a fatal accident and "turn into a woman".

Imagine, his kids are now calling him a she... Talk about hell on Earth. Anyway, next you were gonna tell us how you "respect" him, right.

Whatever, the real tragedy is all the activity on these boards - WTH has gone wrong with the world. :-/

I watched it out of curiosity, as did MANY others, for that main reason.
However, as the other poster said, the show turned out to be ridiculous and boring and plus it was hard to watch Bruce Jenner turning into this self-absorbed, selfish, narcissistic, un-likeable, DIVA with each passing minute. So I had to stop watching too. And also, that's why the ratings dropped so quickly---because once the curiosity factor died down, then most people stopped watching all together.
That's my take on it.

I turned the show on ONCE -- out of curiosity.

I could only stand about a minute and a half: Cait was on the phone, giggling about having a "sleep over" with "the girls." I turned the channel.

Is this what it means to be a 65 year-old woman? I think not.

If he's happy in a dress, that's fine. But, I will not buy into his delusions.

Someone replying to another article put it this way:

Congrats to Caitlyn, she finally transformed to an ugly c#nt.

The people who watch this are the people who pay the carnival barker .50 to watch the zany antics of "Jo-Jo the Wild Monkey Boy of Borneo"

Only the medium is different.

I watch because it is entertaining to see a 65 year old millionaire become a woman and have absolutely no sympathy for other transgender women when it comes to their struggles in getting money for their transition. It must be nice to wait until you are officially retired and don't have to worry about making a living to finally come out and say that you are transgender.

...Yup.
I doubt that cbJenner will ever truly and seriously understand what other people, that were not born as "lucky" as Bruce Jenner was, have to struggle with, every single day of their lives.
Jenner comes off as such a snob! I have never heard of a person who manages to turn off so many people all at once. There is something about cbJenner that truly turns people's stomach.
Seems Jenner is a real turn off, to most people these days (unless those people are being paid by Jenner or the E! Channel,& in which case they hang around Jenner to milk the gravy train for as long as they can---until Jenner becomes an irrelevant "has been" of yesteryears).

Yes, and I've also always wondered about those transsexuals who manage to get SSI or federal disability benefits who do the same and then the government pays for their transition, except for the surgery. I have no idea how they got on it because, except for one, they didn't appear to actually be disabled.

Also, don't prisoners (in Prison) get their "hormone treatments" for free (paid by the Tax payers)? And, don't military people also get free "hormone treatments"(paid by the Tax payers) if they decide to become the other Gender?

I believe that is true about prisoners getting treatments but strangely I've never heard of any of them going to the V.A. My only guess would be it can take up to a year to get an appointment at a V.A. clinic. Then sometimes the clinic or hospital may not be in the town or state where they live, so they opt to go to a therapist and doctor in private practice instead.

I am a member of the LGBT community. I am pansexual and gender fluid. I watch to support the transgender population and to watch ...at first Cait herself, but at this point, I am more interested in her "crew" of T-girls.

reply

"pansexual and gender fluid" WTF!?

reply

Mmmmmhmm.

Pansexual - Is attracted to, and able to commit to, masculine men, masculine women, feminine men, feminine women, androgynous people, and transgender male or female. Basically open-minded, no rules.

Gender Fluid - Identifies with both masculine and feminine gender traits, often switching between both. Some days presenting as more butch, some days presenting as more femme. Basically open-minded, no rules.

reply

basically IFA
