It's too fresh, and the sociopolitical wound is gaping and gushing all the red emotional goo at the seams, so a lot of people are too frenzied to enjoy the film for what it is.
It reminded me in some ways of Escape From New York City for a newer generation. It's way more nihilistic, though; but I liked the frantic, unpredictable pace and events.

The Antifa nonsense ruining and plaguing our great nation is a real-life precursor to the fictional events that unfolded in the film. Similar scenarios have already played out in real-life in the favelas of Brazil with BOPE, and a certain anti-riot squad back during the tumultuous days of South Korea.

All of Antifa's violence has also been enacted unprovoked, such as the couple defending their store from looters, the professor who incurred brain damage from being hit in the head with a bike lock, and the numerous people who have had their stores, homes, and cars vandalized for not kowtowing to their despotic fascism.
