Having an ALL black cast in 2015 is insulting to everyone that has fought to equality among the races. When Sound of Music, an historic musical, cast the Mother Superior with a black woman these boards where defensive about color blind casting. Anyone who questioned her being cast were also called racists and trolls. There was no way in hell a black woman would have ever been a Mother Superior during the time period.
As for the Wiz, they aren't staying true to the 'original' story, and surely there could have been and should have been color blind casting. Asking why is not indicative of anti-black or troll. Perhaps people want to know why there is a double standard.

What the hell are you talking about? The Wiz has been around as an award-winning play and a movie since the mid '70s. And if you did some research, Thew Wiz is said to be closer to the actual book than the 1939 movie was. Having an-all black cast in anything isn't racist. There are some things that we want to see ourselves ans celebrate our own culture in that have nothing to do with white people. It's not about you so quit trying to make like it is.

The Cosby show was called Family Ties.....
The Jefferson's was called All In The Family.......

Why do some white people always think that black people are going to react in the same ignorant entitled way they act "if the roles were reversed"?? Unlike entitled white people (and I mean specifically, the white people that feel entitled), most black people don't feel the need to be all up in everything. We are so used to just about everything being white washed that we don't get our panties in a bunch like y'all do.
