For those who grew up with the old voices, it leaves a real sour taste in your mouth hearing new people voice these characters when the old cast is alive and ready to return!

Natalie Palamides is the only one(I think) that sounds like E.G Daily's Buttercup, but I agree with you on the other 2, Amanda Leighton and Kristen Li do not sound like Cathy Cavadini's Blosom and Tara Strong's Bubbles.

I have to disagree with you. I think it's the other way around. The new buttercup is like hearing nails on a chalkboard.

I'm okay with the new VAs so far (I'd rather wait for a full ep to fully judge 'em), but I'm not feeling the character designs for the new villains and civilians they created for the reboot.

It's not awful or anything, I'm used to seeing the thin-line/noodle-arm style on CN's other shows, but it just clashes with the girls' look. The lumberjack guy looks like he'd fit better on an episode of Clarence.

I already hated buttercup's voice, but now that I'm watching the show, goodness, I more than hate it. Blossom's voice sounds too... kiddie? Not right for who her character is as the leader. I wasn't expecting the voices to sound like the original and I can get over blossom's voice, but buttercup is killing me. Is she really being voiced by a girl? This is blowing my mind, like it's a joke

Agree with you. Everyone else's is ok, except for Buttercup's.

I watched the first episode today and nearly turned it off after a minute because of the voices alone, especially Buttercup who I thought was being voiced by a boy. I got kinda used to them as the episode went on but still wasn't that keen. It was a long time since I watched the original but I know they were pretty compared to this.

And it's not just the voice, but I think the lines they give her, too. She kinda sounds like a douchebag...all the time.

Yeah, she's always been assertive, but now she's just too harsh. How a child superhero created in a pot can come on too strong, I don't know, but she does

They aren't "all" bad, Bubbles is actually the only one that's spot on. Blossom's new voice sounds like a valley girl, and Buttercup's new voice just sounds like an angry chipmunk.

Honestly the voices are one thing that Doesn't bother me . I feel like they found actresses whose voices resemble the originals as CLOSELY as they could possibly find. Blossom's is the one that sounds the most off, but not enough to be distracting to me personally.

But why resemble when you can get the original cast. I stated in another post that they bring all of the other original VAs back, but didn't bring the girls. What's up with that?

New voice actors are cheaper than established ones

True, but why resemble them when the cast is still out there. Like I've stated, they brought everyone else back but the original girls.

Th others were likely cheap to bring back, The three original stars were not. And the sad part is, all three of them wanted to come back.

I know ! what a huge disappointment. why couldn't they get the original voices for this reboot ?
