I could not agree more. The people and the way they live is very interesting. I look forward to watching each new episode. This is the way reality television should be done.

I agree Jim. I'm not surprised that you are watching and commenting on this board. I've been watching episodes most of the day and this is probably the closest to reality of any Alaskan reality program on TV. More people should see this eight part documentary.

I like that the film crew's interaction with the subjects is acknowledged (in captions). Has any other reality series ever done that?

rtlh1982. I agree. What is the point of ignoring the fact that men with cameras and microphones are not there? These people are real. They would not let a television production company invade their space under some phony pretext. They don't need to.
They wish to show a rare slice of life that is fading fast.

I've watched many reality shows about Akaska. This one is top-notch, just great. If you're going to watch and learn about Alaska and the people who make their lives there, this is the one.

A real pleasure to watch.

This is the only Alaskan reality series that's worth a damn. The pacing is excellent and the soundtrack is superb. The way it's presented it's easy to fall in love with these people.

This show is basically the blueprints for how to be a real man. BRB taking notes!
