With a better director...

I rather enjoyed the movie, even though it was like an apprentice Director's tryout. It was as if somebody said to a film student, "Here's the plot, here's the stock characters, here's the pacing and structure, here's the high/low points... now go and make the movie."

I watched it with a sense of watching the Reader's Digest version of a John McTiernan action movie. Toa Fraser is a competent Director, and he's been recognised for his other films, but he's not a good action director, imo.
