hasn't held up on repeat viewings

I loved this movie the first time I saw it but anytime I've tried re-watching it since, the film really has not held up. It comes off far too heavy-handed and preachy in its environmental message. To the point where it intrudes on the comedy and makes the film a lot less enjoyable. I gave this film an 8/10 on first-viewing, but now it's probably down to a 6 or maybe even a 5.

Anyone else here had the same experience with this film?
