Weren't they built first in 1992?
According to the Wikipedia Humvees have been in service from 1984 to the present.
My bad. The CIVILIAN version of the H1 was buit in 1992.
Let’s say the ones seen in this movie weren’t actually around in the 80’s... putting them in anyway would have been acceptable, if you ask me. This is the type of movie that’s allowed to “twist” reality.
I thought they were rolled out in Desert Storm.
Humvees first saw combat in Operation Just Cause, the U.S. invasion of Panama in 1989.
Also, when I was in the military they were all OD green. They didn't become desert tan, like in the movie, until Operation Desert Storm.
